Accounting Manager
Own and scale Funnel’s accounting function through its next stage of global growth.
Funnel is entering an exciting stage of growth, and we are building a Finance function that can support our global ambitions journey in becoming an AI native company. As Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in shaping, leading, and continuously improving our accounting operations across our Swedish parent company and international subsidiaries.
This is a hands-on leadership role with both operational ownership and strategic impact. You will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant accounting, while also helping us build scalable processes, strengthen internal controls, and prepare the Finance function for the next phase of Funnel’s journey.
What you will do
As Accounting Manager, you will own the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of Funnel’s accounting operations. You will lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and act as a key partner to Controlling, Tax, Legal, auditors and external advisors. You will report to our CFO.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across all Funnel entities and for the Funnel group, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Implement best practices from a listed environment, including processes, documentation, and governance.
Owning the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and the group under IFRS.
Strengthening internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation to support audit readiness and future business needs.
Driving continuous improvement across accounting systems, processes, and automation, including ownership of our ERP and consolidation system AARO.
Partnering on both specific accounting projects together with external advisors and also internally in the organization on ongoing matters.
Ensuring compliance with Swedish tax and global regulatory requirements, including VAT, US sales tax, corporate income tax filings and submissions.
Managing and developing a team of accountants by setting clear priorities, providing coaching, and building scalable ways of working.
Acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors during statutory and group audits.
What you bring
We believe you are a qualified and experienced accounting leader who combines strong technical expertise with a pragmatic and collaborative leadership style. You are comfortable working hands-on, while also improving processes and building structure in a growing international business.
We are looking for someone with:
A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional qualification, such as CPA, Auktoriserad revisor or ACCA, is meritorious.
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge and experience of IFRS and group consolidation, Swedish- and US GAAP, and experience preparing both statutory accounts under Swedish standards and group accounts under IFRS.
Experience working in a multi-entity and multi-currency environment, including group consolidation in an international organization.
Experience from subscription-based business, with understanding of ASC606 / IFRS15. We see it as a big plus if you have worked in a SaaS or technology company.
Strong experience with modern ERP and accounting systems, with an interest in automation and process improvement. As we move toward becoming an AI-native company, we’re looking for someone who wants to implement and use AI in a practical way and bring that mindset to the team.
Fluency in Swedish and professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
A structured, pragmatic, and collaborative leadership style, with experience developing high-performing teams.
What we offer
A key role in shaping the Finance function of a global SaaS company headquartered in Stockholm.
The opportunity to combine hands-on accounting leadership with strategic impact.
A collaborative, ambitious, and international working environment.
Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional development.
An office-first hybrid setup from our central Stockholm office.
Location and eligibility
For this role, we are currently only able to consider candidates who are based in Stockholm and already have the right to work in Sweden.
Office-first
