People & Culture Director
Build the People Function That Moves Us Forward In An AI Era!
People & Culture is changing fast, and so are we. As we continue to grow and strengthen our international footprint, we're looking for a People & Culture leader, a forward-thinking, values-driven, and hands-on leader to guide our people strategy through this next chapter.
As we move toward becoming an AI-native company we're looking for a People & Culture leader who is comfortable and confident in that space, someone who already uses AI in a practical way, brings that mindset into their team's everyday work, and understands how it is shaping the way organisations hire, develop, lead, and retain people.
This is an opportunity to help shape the global people function and lead a strong team across recruitment, people partnering, and office management. Here, you will drive People & Culture forward through modern tools, smarter processes, and an AI-people-first mindset, contributing to Funnel's ambition to make AI a natural part of how we work, grow, and develop as a company.
The role
As People & Culture Director, you'll own the full people agenda and have a mandate to evolve it. You'll work closely with the leadership team, act as a trusted partner to the business, and lead a team across all of our offices (Stockholm, Hamburg, Boston and Sydney).
This role calls for someone who is both a strategic partner and a practical doer. You work best when you're close to the business, trusted by leaders, and given the mandate to make things better. You don't wait to be asked. You spot what needs to change and you move.
As AI becomes central to how Funnel operates, we need a People & Culture leader who is already ahead of that curve. Not someone who treats AI as an add-on, but someone who actively uses it in their own work, brings it into their team's day-to-day, and understands what it means for how organisations hire, develop, and lead people. You'll help set the standard for what modern, AI-enabled people work looks like, while keeping people, culture, and the human side of work at the centre of everything you do.
What you'll be doing
Leading your team
Manage, develop, and inspire a cross-functional team of Talent Partners, People Partners, and Office Managers across all of our offices. Create clarity, build capability, and make the team greater than the sum of its parts.
Working smarter with AI
You're both curious and confident in using AI and modern tools to improve how People & Culture works. From AI-assisted recruitment to people analytics and smarter onboarding, you actively explore what's possible and bring the best of it into your work.
Driving recruitment & talent attraction
Lead our overall approach to talent attraction and employer branding, setting the direction and standards for how we recruit. You ensure we have the right strategies, tools, and processes in place, and that your team is equipped to execute with quality and speed.
Workforce planning
Work with business leaders to anticipate hiring needs, map future capability gaps, and build a people strategy that keeps the organisation ahead of the curve, not just reacting to it.
Developing people
Design and drive learning & development initiatives that actually move the needle. Coach managers, build leadership capability, and create frameworks that help our people grow, not just on paper, but in practice.
Leading change
Act as a key driver of organisational and cultural change. Whether we're scaling, restructuring, or shifting how we work, you'll be the person who plans it thoughtfully, brings people with you, and makes sure change lands well across the organisation.
Shaping culture
Drive culture-building across the organisation. You'll help define who we are as an employer and make sure that shows up consistently, whether someone sits in Stockholm, Hamburg, Boston or Sydney.
Being the trusted People & Culture expert
Advise and support managers on everything from difficult conversations to organisational design. You're grounded in Swedish labour law (LAS, MBL, AML) and know how to navigate complex employment situations with confidence and care.
Who you are
You lead with warmth and clarity. You're the kind of People & Culture leader people actually want to talk to: approachable, direct, and invested in the humans behind the job titles.
You're structured enough to run a global function across three offices, and flexible enough to know that people rarely fit neatly into frameworks. You thrive when you get to build things, drive meaningful change, and see the impact up close. You're comfortable sitting in a leadership team meeting in the morning and coaching a first-time manager in the afternoon.
You stay curious about where People & Culture is heading, whether that's new AI tools, shifts in how people want to be led, or better ways to plan for the workforce of tomorrow. You don't chase trends for the sake of it, but you're never content with "this is how we've always done it."
Most importantly, you see People & Culture as a business-critical driver of growth, and you have the experience and energy to prove it.
Skill and Experience
Several years of experience in a senior People & Culture leadership role, ideally across multiple sites or countries, with a background from tech or other fast-moving industries
A relevant education in People & Culture, Organisational Development, or a related field
A proven track record of building and improving modern people processes
Strong experience in recruitment, employer branding, and talent attraction
Hands-on experience with workforce planning and translating business strategy into people plans
Proven experience leading change management initiatives, from design through to execution, and a track record of bringing people along through transformation
A passion for learning & development and building leadership capability
Solid experience in manager coaching, leadership development, and training
Solid knowledge of Swedish labour law, including LAS, MBL, and AML, and what they mean in practice
An AI-savvy mindset, with curiosity and confidence in using modern tools to make People & Culture smarter and more effective
