Senior Data Engineer - Agentic Data Integration
Why This Role Matters
We are building an agentic data integration platform: systems that don’t just move data, but understand, validate, and adapt how marketing data is ingested, modeled, and exposed.
This work directly shapes how autonomous agents reason about schemas, metrics, data quality, and customer intent at scale, across hundreds of APIs and thousands of tenants.
What You Will Do:
Design and evolve semantic data models that can be reasoned about by both humans and autonomous agents, transforming raw API data into analytics-ready, trustworthy datasets.
Build systems that reason about API data inferring structure, detecting inconsistencies, and adapting integration logic as upstream sources change.
Turn the practical know-how of data engineering into systems that can make smart, reliable decisions on their own.
Build feedback loops so the system improves over time by learning from past mistakes and how customers actually use the data.
Clearly define how raw data is transformed into meaningful, trustworthy datasets that downstream teams and tools can rely on.
This Role Is For You If You Want To:
Help define how agentic data integration should work, not just implement a spec.
Make architectural decisions where there is no existing blueprint.
Balance correctness, explainability, and autonomy in customer-facing systems.
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For
Strong experience with Python and data-frame libraries such as Pandas or Polars
Hands-on experience with data integration and ETL pipelines
Familiarity with data-warehouse modeling techniques
Hands-on experience working with large datasets
Location & Eligibility
At this time, we can only consider applicants who are already based in Stockholm and meet one of the following criteria:
Hold Swedish citizenship
Hold EU/EEA citizenship and are currently living in Stockholm
Have a valid Swedish work permit
Office-first
At Funnel, we have an office-first approach, and we work from the office a minimum of four days a week. We have lots of flexibility for when life happens, during the summer, through the holidays. We just like to avoid having standing remote days.
