Who we are looking for
We’re searching for a versatile content writer who can combine creativity with analytical thinking. Above all, you excel at transforming complex, technical topics into clear, engaging stories that resonate with marketers and business leaders. You’ll move seamlessly between writing sharp, conversion-focused copy and long-form content that drives Funnel’s voice in the market.
You’ll collaborate across the marketing team and beyond to create web copy, ad copy, scripts, articles, ebooks, white papers and thought leadership pieces. You’ll also interview customers, partners, and subject-matter experts, distilling technical insights into narratives that stand out in the industry.
Your work will support Funnel’s growth in key markets like the U.S. while also making our voice resonate globally.
Objectives of this role
Translate complex and technical ideas into clear, engaging stories for different formats and audiences.
Support Funnel’s category-building efforts with thought leadership and points of view that resonate with marketing and business leaders.
Maintain and evolve Funnel’s brand voice and verbal identity, ensuring consistency across channels.
Leverage AI-powered tools to speed up research, ideation, note-taking and content production, while also applying strong editorial judgment to ensure originality and quality.
Collaborate closely with product marketing, demand gen and design to ensure content aligns with strategy and drives measurable impact.
Learn from performance data to continually refine how Funnel communicates with its audience.
Daily and monthly responsibilities
Write and edit copy for a wide range of projects: website, social, ads, articles, scripts, white papers and ebooks.
Research complex topics and interview customers, partners and internal experts to inform and enrich your writing.
Contribute to Funnel’s thought leadership strategy by developing original perspectives and messaging.
Repurpose and scale content: turning big assets into campaigns and campaigns into evergreen resources.
Present copy concepts and deliverables to internal stakeholders, revising based on feedback.
Use AI tools as a creative and research assistant to improve efficiency and output, while ensuring the final work is human-led and on-brand.
Skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, marketing, or a related field.
4–5+ years of professional writing experience in marketing, content, or journalism, with a portfolio spanning both short-form and long-form content.
Strong research and interviewing skills, with proven ability to make technical or data-driven topics accessible and engaging.
Ability to balance independent work with collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Comfortable using AI tools for research, brainstorming, outlining, and drafting while also editing, elevating, and humanizing the results.
Exceptional written and spoken English.
Preferred qualifications
Experience writing for B2B SaaS, martech, or data/analytics industries.
Familiarity with content management systems (HubSpot or similar).
Proofreading experience and knowledge of style guides.
A keen eye for detail and an appreciation for design.
The team
You’ll join a close-knit marketing team of 20 unique individuals, each bringing their own experiences and skills. The team covers communication, demand generation, customer marketing, and the full journey from first touch to loyal customer.
