What you will do

In the Account Manager role, your main objective will be to grow the existing customer base by focusing on a few select accounts with high potential. You will execute on our land and expand strategy: build a business case with existing stakeholders in the customer account, and then scale their success to other stakeholders within the organization; for example other markets or brands within the same group. 

Some responsibilities are:

  • Work closely with our Customer Success team to map out high potential customers, find champions and build relationships with strategic stakeholders in order to upsell within existing customer accounts.
  • Find and establish relationships with stakeholders in new parts of the customer organization.
  • Position Funnel, present our offer, negotiate and close deals with prospect decision-makers.
  • Continue building the structure for the Account Managers together with the team.
  • Iterate and improve the upsell process. Your input will be needed on everything from the required tech stack to contracts, pricing, services and product presentation.
  • Project manage and synchronize efforts with members of other customer-facing Funnel teams.
  • Record, document and track sales activity and customer data in CRM and other systems. 

Who you are

To succeed in this role, you need a deep understanding of our customers’ business, a challenger’s mindset and a natural drive to go out and find new stakeholders in order to turn local deals into global deals.

Experience and skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in international B2B software sales (a big bonus for SaaS!). 
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience from ‘land and expand’ sales strategy.
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English. Other major European languages are a plus (Swedish is not required).

Personality competencies: 

  • Hunter - you are a closer and this is what drives you, a “no” from a customer cannot change that.
  • Grit -  you have the ability to focus on the long-term goal with dedication and endurance.
  • Analytical ability and strategic thinking - you quickly understand the customers’ pain points and see the best long-term solution rather than quick fixes.
  • Challenger - you can walk the line between being easy to buy from and sometimes using constructive tension to challenge your prospects. Uncomfortable conversations do not faze you. 
  • Team player - you have a “we before me” mentality.

The team

You will be part of our highly ambitious, friendly and team-oriented Sales team. In the team, we win and lose together. This is not the place for a “Lone Wolf”! Our Sales team is divided into smaller pods, with close collaboration in daily standups, retrospectives and coaching sessions. We set high goals and look for someone who is as motivated as we are to achieve them.
